Subject: Tech: Recommendations on vocal mic's
Through a friend, I was able to purchase a microphone that looks - and more importantly, sounds - almost identical to the Shure SM58 mic. It is a SupraLux PRO248, and I have nothing but rave reviews for it personally... My voice projects very well (aka -- TURN DOWN THE MIC! YOU'RE MAKIN' ME EARS BLEED!), mostly in a low to mid range. My bandmade has a mid-range voice, hitting higher notes on occasion, and it seems to suit him well... Has anyone else had experience with this mic over a longer term? how does it hold up? comments also welcome on the Shures, AudioTechnica's, and other popular mics out there..
