Cause I went looking last year sometime, when my wife came home from work and said her office was collecting them... All I found were debunkers...

The cost of storing and shipping a pull-tab is twice what the alluminum in the pull tab is worth... So the idea of selling them for scrap makes very little sense (Cents?)
