"Liberty is the period between the overthrow of one tyrant and the reign of another."

"Freedom" has been tossed around so much by politicians and others that it seems to have lost the responsibilities that come with it. Which is why I avoided it.

"Liberty" on the other hand still seems to have connotations of responsibility.
