There's an intriguing historical fact that in parts of Scotland, quite localised, there was an antipathy to eating pork, and various bad-luck kind of stories associated with pigs. This gave rise to various (crackpot???)theories that one or more of the LOst Tribes of Israel ended up in Scotland. Now, this new leads me to ask (a) where exactly are these bits of Scotland, because I cant remember and (b) have they had a more violent history than other bits. Was Glencoe, for example, one of the no-pig areas?
