The only explanation I have seen for the proceedings is the accusation that McAllister is a terrorist. Any idea of the basis for this charge? I can find no specifics. Who are the political forces in Ireland pushing Ashcroft's buttons? He and his family are not a threat to anyone here as far as I can tell. Who benefits from his deportation?
