Thread Name: Chords Req: Brother Can You Spare a Dime?
Subject: Tune Add: BUDDY/BROTHER CAN YOU SPARE A DIME?
I converted the MIDItext from John in Brisbane into a MIDI. I think the MIDI in the Digital Tradition is closer to the tune I know, and it has a tune for the verses. Still, John's interpretation has interesting aspects.

Here is the DT MIDI in ABC format, which you can take to Concertina.net to get the dots:

I think the lyrics in the Digital Tradition are pretty accurate, except that the singer was full of "Yankee-doodle-de-dum." Other parts of the DT text are just slightly different from the text I found in Reading Lyrics (Gottlieb/Kimball, 2000).
