Thread Name: Origins: Spanish Is the Loving Tongue
Subject: RE: Spanish Is the Loving Tongue
Amos version is near enough the Judy Collins version, seen from the womans point of view, there is another verse , which I think I noticed earlier that goes

Moonlight on the Patio,
Old senora nodding near,
Me and Juan are talking low,
So the madre does not hear,
How the hours would go a flying,
And too soon we would be sighing,
As the moonlight sofly shon,
Mi amor mi corazon

And where the verse says-
Throw those big doors open wide,
Lift me to the saddle in his arms

Ther are lots of J.C's songs that make me very emotional and this is one. Glad you like it, I didn't know the history.
