M Ted proposes the right thing. But show interest in Mexican folksongs and learn some by the people you're visiting: I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
I've made the experience that a certain knowledge of foreign folksongs is most appreciated by people abroad. One evening during a student meeting in Germany I played two greek folksongs on my flute, and the Greeks present nearly went crazy for joy - it was so unexpected.
