It's a bit easier for Linda and myself to get to France. We just drive down the A20/M20 (which is 5 mins from where we live), turn off at the EuroTunnel "Shuttle" terminus (in under an hour) and it then takes 35 mins until we drive off at Coquelles just south of Calais.

We did this last Tuesday and now have enough wine to see us till way past Easter as well as lots of other nice goodies from the french shops and supermarkets. We also had a very pleasant meal in the old town of Boulogne, before driving back and arriving home in time to have a pint at our local pub.
