As an addopted Yorkshireman I have difficulty admitting that anything good can come out of Lancashire (apart from the M62) but here goes:

Yes, I love lots of different cheeses, but if the "desert island, choose just one" moment came then I'd plump for a good Lancashire.

Somewhere up the thread there was mention of English wine too, and the chance to taste it by flying B.A. I don't know what B.A. serve, so cannot comment on that aspect, but can confirm that good English wine is to be had. It is just little known, and a bit pricey, though not ridiculously so.
