Have been in touch with Mr Shatner. He was reasonably positive to the idea of a Mudcat gathering in his honour, provided that Peg jumps out of the cake and he is paid a small honorarium of say, a few thousand dollars, for showing up and giving a speech.

So...who wants to provide a venue for this event? And how do we raise the cash?
