Sal - Just don't ever try to push one of those easy thread needles through anything but the flimsiest fabric without using a thimble. The "eye" end is almost as sharp as the point end.

(Yeah, I know you're supposed to always use a thimble, but who takes the time to find one just to sew on a button?)
