Threadless I am and threadless I remain. If a button comes off...well, who needs all those buttons anyway? Jeans too long? (everything it too long for me)...a simple job for scissors and stapler, tho paper clips will work in a pinch. I have had a great old Singer sewing machine, the console kind, which I've never, in 25 years, once used as anything but a table, tho I have had it cleaned a couple of times. The idea of threading a needle makes my hands sweat.

I feel the same way about the iron, a tool I've found I can do very well without. Anything that doesn't launder well and wrinkle free goes straight to the thrift shop. Besides, to use an iron properly one needs an ironing board, a cumbersome and ugly piece of work if there ever was one. Better to do away with them both.

There. I feel much better!
