Thanks for the sympathy. I have a cold compress on at the moment which will soon be changed to a heat pack. I've pretty well given up on the painkillers as they don't work. I can get some relief on my hands and knees as it keeps my guts from pressing on the nerve. It is really weird having a pain I can't touch! My back doesn't really hurt but my leg is excruciating.
