Oh yes,I'm glad Jed is OK again too. I guess I don't look like Carol either.....lol!Probably just as well for both of us. I have driven litteraly thousands of miles in both New Mexico and Wyoming, never hit a deer. Seen lots in the borrow pits, tho. Always slow down in case they are drunk....or just plain stupid. Not much useable meat on a road kill....most of it will be so bruised/bloodshot that it is inedible. We got about 5 lbs out of a road kill fawn (still in spots) once, but that is all.
