Before I got down as far as WYSIWYG's post, (which I also bookmaked), I'd already looked up the word, as I come from 80 miles from Sheffield and had never heard it.   Here are additional meanings for Minge, from the Archaic dictionary.
Minge: to mention.
Mingd: Anal. 'Batchelors Orthopaedic'
Minging: shivering with ague.

Some people want to simplify this elastic language. I'd be happy if I could speak it.
I only knew the vaginal and tightfisted meanings.
