various parts of the South have aspects of their culture, habits and morés that are fascinating to study, but I am sure I would not DARE to live there, as I would get myself run out of town, or worse. (Yeah, I know...not everyone in Texas agrees with that stupid law, but enough do that they HAVE the law!)

Texas, in general, is just bigger, richer and pushier about 'their' idiosyncracies. And they write and enforce laws that make news....
