I was in Cleburne once and the people there seemed nice. If I read the article correctly the nice people in Cleburne think sex toy parties are real trashy, and, rather than live in trashy place, made it a misdemeanor to have one in Cleburne. Not a law I'd vote for, but there it is. Then the police arrested the Passion Parties rep and charged her with the misdemeanor. That seems to be just what the nice people in Cleburne intended when they passed the law.

Now sex toy dealers from San Francisco and accordion players and whatnot from all over the map are outraged, and are writing very stern notes to the Mudcat Forum denouncing the arrest in Cleburne in particular and Texas in general.

The Passion Parties rep must be grateful that brave souls had the courage to defend her in this forum (which is surely a mighty voice for shaping public opinion in Cleburne, Texas). And of course, anyone who owns an autoharp is better qualified to decide what should be legal in Cleburne than the nice people who actually live there; so Cleburne better shape up! If they don't we'll start typing in all CAPS and using lots of exclamation points!!!!!
