Lots of good suggestions above.

If you don't have a blender, get one for sure.

Milk can sometimes be a challenge to digest so if you are going to use soymilk instead I recommend Vitasoy Vanilla as the best tasting product.
It is available in most large grocery stores.
choose vanilla, chocolate or strawberry over natural soymilk which can taste too beany.

Soymilk will contain more calories than almond milk or rice milk

Add to your shake suggestions posted above:
tahini mixed with honey
or peanut butter (might tire of peanut butter taste)
or almond butter & cashew butter are available at natural food stores They are pricey but good
2 Tbsp of protein powder - available at natural food stores - go for the lowest price

Blending in NoriNu soft silken tofu available in large grocery stores. You won't taste the tofu if you add a sweetener honey/maple syrup. It will add a boost of additional calories, protein & add a creamy smooth consistency to your shake.

Crystalized ginger is available at natural foods stores and for sure at Vinces Foods (bulk bins) 555 Steeprock (416) 636-6146

Hope that helps,
Bonnie
