Earlier in his thread someonemetioned "faux Worcestershire Sauce" presumably because the original one contained anchovies. For Vegetarians needing that flavour then may I heartily recommend one of Sheffield's most famous products the inimitable "Henderson's Relish"http://www.hendersonsrelish.com/
which contains no meat or fish.
