You can still get plenty of the Lake   Niagara wines in New York state; that winery is going strong! When I go there I   try to pick up NY state produced white wines; they are grapey and fruity, a lot like Reislings. There is a winery near Chatauqua (Johnson Estates) that has Chatauqua blush that is fabulous...as well as many other very good wines...
