Whistle.   Whistle in your car, whistle as you clean house, whistle along with the songs on the radio or CD, whistle when you walk the dog, just whistle. Even if you are a lousy whisler, this will help you learn to control your breathing and will also increase your stamina for singing. You might even become a better whistler.
