Johnny Cunningham, the great Celtic fiddler, passed on Dec. 15 at the age of 46. He had a heart attack and died in his sweetheart's arms.

I was awed and inspired by Johnny Cunningham and I always will be. I am thankful that he left us so many great recordings, but I will certainly miss his live performances. They were really *live.*
