A couple from my kidhood:

Neil Diamond's "Forever in Bluejeans" which I heard as "Reverend Bluejeans" (I visualized a clerical version of Mr. Greenjeans from Captain Kangaroo... was he really Alice Cooper's father?)

And from the Steeler's Wheel (Gerry Rafferty) classic "Stuck In The Middle With You", the line:
"Losing control, yeah I'm all over the place"
I thought was:
"Who's been throwin' up all over the place?"
