Re S&R's distinction of gaffer tape and duct tape on the basis of gaffer tape being fabric-backed and duct tape being plastic backed.

I am old enough (73) that out of my long experience I think of duct tape as being fabric-backed. And frankly, that doesn't seem so long ago. When I see the plastic-backed "duct tape" I immediately think, "How cheap!"
