JohnInKansas is dead right. Nobody uses duct tape for ductwork any more. The standard tape for ductwork is aluminum tape. Sorta like a very heavy aluminum foil with adhesive on one side. You have to remove a paper backing to expose the adhesive. It's not much good for household repairs because it's a bitch to remove. But it's fun to play with for art projects.
