Peter T, here's your 3/4 time pattern.

"G" chord. (remember..middle, ring and pinky.

T-6, M-2, T-4, I-3, T-6, M-2.

There are many 3/4 and 4/4 patterns, but this is a good simple one to start with. Learn it well, before you start playing it in a song.
