Thread Name: Planxty Ticket for Dublin Vicar Street
Subject: Folklore: Planxty Ticket for Dublin Vicar Street
Hi all, Have you heard about the Planxty reunion ? Planxty was one of Ireland's best folk groups in the 70's, the band split for good in 1983 and have not performed together since. The original lineup with Christy Moore, Donal Lunny, Liam O'Flynn and Andy Irvine (all famous now as solo artists)have announced a series of Irish Concerts for January and February 2004. They play in Ennis in the Glor Irish Music Centre on the 23th & 24th January. They play in Dublin's Vicar street - a fine venue with tables and great atmosphere - on 30th, 31st January, 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th February 2004, all concerts have been sold out within a day. I am looking forward to see the guys on the 11th Feb (first row, wow !). Unfortunately I got now a second ticket for the same date as a gift. If it would be for any other day I would not mind to see them twice or more times...So now my question: Is there anyone out there who is interested in the second ticket (Table 20, 3rd row, very good seat). I do not want to make any profit out of it, so I will give it away for the original price of € 55 (no joke, this is the original price, times are a-changin as Dylan would say... if you compare this to the prices in the 70's) Looking for your answers, Chris
