"Scarlet Ribbons" has a lot to answer for. That little girl needed those ribbons so much that her faith in God depended on it - well I reckon she should have asked Santa for them because that's what he's for. And what happened when she asked God for something really important and she'd used up her share of miracles getting ribbons. Spoilt little brat! I hate that song.
