Sousaphones are usually keyed in BBb, tubas in Eb, C, Bb or a fourth key I don't remember. The first Sousaphone had the bell pointed up, like a tuba (it's still in existence at the maker's factory, J. W. Pepper). I think that the first person to play it in the rain drowned when their umpa couldn't keep up with the input....
