I don't have any problem with this type of copy and paste list. It's traditional to reflect on those we've lost during the year as it comes to an end. There are always a few people on any such list whose passings I had missed. And trying to edit such a list to fit the scope of this forum would have to be a fruitless endeavor since no two members agree on what that scope is anyway.

Personally, I would have rather seen a list pulled from someplace besides the Dead People Server. I find their attitude to be a little too flipant and casual considering the nature of their chosen subject, but that's a matter of taste, isn't it?
