As requested I'm following on from this thread with me request for information about how 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' got to be known by so many people in England recently.

I'm interested in its journey from being a negro spiritual, to being sung in community singing groups, published in News Chronicle Song books and then into the rugby scene.

If anyone knows any particulars, if it was tied to a particular school etc, or interesting stories as to where they first heard it, that would be great
