and for a little TC (that's Thread Creep)---I'm not sure that a wetland HAS any more disease (without humans around) when you figure it based on amount of disease versus diversity and biomass in the system. Only natural given the amount of turnover...

And now for OPINION (something I'm REAL good at) - if you want diseased eco-systems, in MY opinion, take a look at climax forests. Practically moribund!
