like frozen meat and North Sea gas
An' neither seems the same to us
and it's dearer than the proper stuff
My food has an artificial look
My shoes are made of plastic muck
And of me beer I've many doubts
But landlord smiles and tells us 'owt

For I know that I'm poorer now

Yet brother George 'neer worked a day
