culture clash:(true story)- I knew a woman who had just returned from a visit to a friend in a commune in New Mexico. She had occasion to go into the small town nearby for some shopping, and was asked by the Mexican clerk in a teeny store where she was from. She replied that she was visiting in the little community "up there".

"Oh, si!" he replied, "those heepies! They are weeerd peeeple"

"Oh they seem nice enough to me." she replied.

"Oh, si", he said ,"but they act funny...they even let their weeomen have COLD beer!"
