Many of my friends refer to my Lowden as the "loud one". I don't know when it was built -- I've had it for 10 or 12 years and it was well used when I bought it. I've always used medium strings without any problem.
My main gig mike is a Minivox, which attaches to the outside of the instrument with a bit of velcro.
