Thread Name: When is Burns Night?
Subject: RE: When is Burns Night?
this year Jan 25 falls on a Sun, so you should find - or organise - a Burns night that weekend

I'm refreshing this thread now so you have time to prepare, and also to let people who can get to Glasgow, Scotland around that time, that not only have you all the Celtic Connections events scheduled for the second half of January, but also the "Burns International Conference" at the U. of Strathclyde (John Anderson Bldg. 325) 17 Jan.

The conference runs from 9 am to 5 pm, so you'd still be able to go to Celtic Connections events that night. Various topics, the sessions related to song and music are just before and just after lunch. They ask that you register beforehand and the cost - including lunch - is £20, or £10 to card-carrying students.
