Mudcatters are well known for their musical knowledge, My question is of a technical matter.

I have a file which has been a catchall for Music, Text files and so forth. Just like that drawer in the kitchen thats full of junk.

It is quite a load on my old Computer and I would like to downlod to a floppy disc. Is this reasonable? I am not very computer literate.
