Guest, I assume that your cryptic Guest name means that you would like the chords "in any key".

When I used to go to regular music sessions the version we used was by Mary Black.

The Rose of Allendale
Key: G Major

The [G] morn was fair, the [C] skies were [G] clear,
no breath came o'er the [D] sea,
when [G] Mary left her [C] highland [G] home,
and wandered [D] forth with [G] me,
Though [C] flowers decked the [G] mountainside
and fragrance filled the [D] vale,
by [G] far the sweetest [C] flower [G] there
was the Rose of [D] Allen- [G] dale,

REFRAIN:
[G] was the Rose of Allen- [C] dale,
Sweet Rose of Allen- [D] dale,
by [G] far the sweetest [C] flower [G] there
was the Rose of [D] Allen- [G] dale

This is the 3-chord wonder version. Some people may put in some more interesting chords to vary it, e.g. using D7 instead of D.
