The music in Masato's links, especially the chorus, bears no relation to the song as I have always heard it sung.

I have never heard Mary Black singing this song, but if she follows her usual practice, she will have butchered the melody to suit her own ends. I can only assume that this is why I see

Though [C] flowers decked the [G] mountainside in Helen's post above.

No way does this fit the melody I know. It would be

[D7]Though [G] flowers [D7]decked the [G] mountainside.
