Thread Name: ID this Ballad book
Subject: RE: ID this Ballad book
There are 628 pages, including an index of first lines, which tallies to (if I didn't miscount) 185 songs. The typography looks turn-of-the-century (1900, that is) to my eyes. In the back there are ads for other books by what I assume to be the same publisher, Frederick Warne & Co., Bedford Street, Covent Garden (London).

There's also an ad for Rowland's Macassar Oil ("promoting the Growth, Restoring, and Beautifying the Human Hair"), Rowland's Kalydor ("for imparting a radiant bloom to the Complexion"), and Rowland's Odonto or Pearl Dentifrice; as well as an ad for sheet music ("New Drawing-Room Pieces Just Out, By The Most Rising Piano-Writer Of The Day" - one Harold Thomas).

Does any of this help?
