person, or explain about something. You can hear it on Sweet Sunny North, a recording don by David Lindley and Henry Kaiser about 10 years ago. there is a Sami performer called Wimme (pronounced Vee-May) who
has a funny yoik (or Joik) about Texas where he repeats "Texas" in different resonant tones...a vocal art. Joik is said to be a way of purifying yourself. the Sami (a.k.a.
