Subject: RE: Obit: Tom Rowe of Schooner Fare
I was shocked a deeply saddened by Tom's passing. The wonderful smile, the personality, the magic of his music....we were all supposed to grow old along with Tom and his friends .
I was one of the Holy Mackeral crowd, and also worked at the Chocolate Church as a concessions volunteer for the first ten years.I well remember the first time they played there- in the small room downstairs! I remember Tom with his long hair swinging, that big smile and even the white shirt with the puffy sleeves he wore. The ebullience of the group and the joy that was in that room was palpable. Of course, all the other shows at the Chocoate Church were sold out in the main church after that. It was such a pleasure to have been in the audience when 'Alive' was recorded.I can honestly say that many of the happiest times of my life were spent with friends at Schooner Fare concerts. As I spent the weekend listening to all my albums, through the many tears came a lot of smiles and wonderful memories.God bless you, Tom. You were a special person .
