Thread Name: BS: I LOVE ALL THIS SNOW
Subject: RE: BS: I LOVE ALL THIS SNOW
Although I'm a native of this land, I don't understand why the British ( as a group ) seem utterly incapable with coping with variations in the weather. I mean, we have so much of it, you'd think we'd be used to it by now.

I've lived in London all my life and the last time we had snow that lasted more than three days was when I was 12 ( I'm 37 now! ). The last three winters I only had my winter coat out for a couple of weeks a year. So why did one night of sub zero temperatures ( just - approx. -3 to -9 degrees celcius ) across the southeast of England cause the utter chaos that it did? Who knows? The meterological office forcast it two days in advance, so it's not like it happen all of one sudden!

I'm beginning to wonder, what came first, the weather in Britain, or the British complaining about it?

I'm with Billy Conolley, there's no such thing as 'bad' weather, just the wrong sort of clothes!
