I watched the interview and I have to agree with you on your impression of his wife. (She is no Hillary Clinton!) Maybe she hasn't run a stop sign in a speeding car and caused the death of another person as the current Mrs. Bush did (without being charged with a felony, in fact, she was not even given a citation even though she was at fault). It would be refreshing if Mrs. Kerry's only mistake so far was being born into wealth. Kerry's response to the question on how he deals with his wife's fortune was somewhat disingenuous. He appeared a little embarrassed when she answered questions.

We're going to use the United Nations, we will inspect, and I will go to war as a last resort.' He did not do anything three of those things. So yes, I believe we should have stood up to Saddam Hussein, I thought it was important for our nation's security. There was a right way to do it, and there was a wrong way to do it. The president chose the wrong way."

If Mr. Bush expedited the invasion of Iraq based on misrepresenting the above conditions, then he directly lied to congress.
