Alan in Oz--The US spans a batch of time zones. From East to West, they are Eastern Time [GMT-500] (ET), Central Time (CT), Mountain Time (MT) and Pacific Time [GMT-800] (PT), and then Alaska Time (AT?) and Hawaii Time (HT), each one hour apart. The time zones come in standard time (EST, CST, MST and PST) from the last weekend in October through the Northern Hemisphere winter until the first weekend in April. Daylight time (EDT, CDT, MDT and PDT) is observed from April through October, except in Arizona, Hawaii, and parts of Indiana.
The Mudcat is in the Eastern Time Zone, and we're on Daylight time until the last weekend in October (Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m. local time).
