For any Mudcatters there are two good music venues here in Shanghai. The Blarney Stone on Dong Ping Lu and O'Malley's on Tiao Jiang Lu.
Both have live music in traditional form most night of the week. Blarney has an open mike session on Fridays and Sundays and O'Malley's on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

The band in O Malley's at present is excellent, very tradtional with a brilliant fiddle player.

So if anyone is heading out this way and is a player make yourself known. We always like to see visitors as we off the beaten track so to speak.
