That's really neat to hear. I'm reminded of the Chieftains' collaborations with Chinese musicians. I really liked that hybrid; both traditional types sound great together.

There is an old old man in the San Francisco Bay Area who plays a bowed instrument (I've forgotten the name of it). I'm totally blind, and I asked him if I could touch the instrument. I could tell he was nervous about it, but it was neat to see what it looked like, and I thanked him profusely.
