I went for two job interviews recently in London, both in gov depts. Admin. Got similar replies to each. I was successful at the interview, but others were more successful. I was more annoyed at the replies than not getting thejob. Especially when I was asked about my letter draughting skills.
I had to read TWO paragraphs down on their letters' to tell me I didn't get the job. Even then, it was ambiguous.
