I use MailWasher for filtering mail. It seems to work very well...except that I have to remember to use it before opening my email. One nice feature is that if you see obvious spam or a known worm (like the one going around now) you can tell MailWasher to "bounce" the message, which sends the message back to the originating source with a code indicating that your email address could not be found, thus diminishing your chance of receiving more spam from that source. Now that I think of it, though, "bouncing" a worm may not be the best move.    First, the source is likely to be a spoofed address, and thus less likely to be the source of more problem mail. Second, since Norton AntiVirus scans all outgoing mail on my computer, I get a message back that my message (the bounced one) contained a worm...you know, sometimes I wonder if we wouldn't be better going back to letters and phone calls...
